Prior to the fire the complex had recently undergone extensive refurbishment and most venues had been renamed.

As of November 2008 the premises remained undeveloped and boarded from public access.

The premises at one time was "The Parade Hotel"

The fire was a great loss to the resort, not only due to the loss of a popular attraction, but also due to the appearance of a boarded area in the immediate heart of the tourist centre, remaining as such for two holiday seasons.

Latest (Feb.. 2008) Plans to re-develop the properties have been submitted for consultation and approval.
