The publication of Skegness on the Internet was created on 13th May, 1998 from an idea originated by Malcolm Bailey, realising an urgent need to publicise to a global market, the exciting British coastal holiday resorts of Skegness, Ingoldmells and Chapel St. Leonards. The first pages were published by Malc. Bailey, Tina Bailey, Colin Krebs and Sue Harrison, supported by a small group of local hoteliers. In 2004 we became a member of Nominet U.K. (www.nominet.org.uk)acquiring the tag: "SKEGNESS". We are an independent non political body, dedicated to support local businesses, our community plus promotion of local tourism via the Internet. We welcome contact with all who have an interest in tourism in the Lincolnshire area. We are very grateful to the following members of our local business community who supported us in the original 1998 publication by way of encouragement, the supply of photographic material and other matters which were invaluable in the initial publication of this site.
We also convey thanks to All Businesses that had confidence to support us with their advertising at the launch of the site, and to all who continue to support us and thus enable the publication to develop further.
